Multipic Layout Tips plus More!!

I have a hard time getting more than 1-2 pictures into a layout, I feel it clutters the effect of what I like to do, which is embellish with flowers and bling!!  So in this layout I achieved 4 pictures because 3 of them are small, I took the best of the small pictures and enlarged it, but I kept the balance of the layout by also keeping the same picture small.  It would look of balance and odd if I only used 2 pictures in the photo strip below the large photo.

I did not want to clutter up my layout too much, as the center piece is my painted doily.  I used a gold paint, then used perfect pearls to enhance the "flowers" around the edges of the doily - the doily is a foam sticker made by Pink Paislee.

I also took a Prima Vine with light link flowers and spruced it up a bit by adding in black rose buds and "anchoring" the vine to the page with 2 larger complementary colored flowers.  I then added some fun bling swirls to help tie in the swirls in the rest of the layout.

Enjoy!!

Scalloped edge using a corner punch

Edge punches have been around for a while and most of you probably have them... but if you do not, there is a simple trick on how to make your own. Now this is no news but as I used this on my August Class Kit page I promised I would show, just incase someone has forgotten.

In my opinion everyone should have a corner punch. It is so useful and makes such a difference with small means. Now you cannot only use it for rounding the corners, you can also use it to make a scallop edge. You need to carefully remove the guide and then you just pusch it up-side-down against the paper and create the scallopes, one after another. Super easy.

As I said, I used it on my Tinker Bell August Class kit to make those 2 green vertical scalloped stripes behind the center pattern paper. Go ahead and try it if you haven't already!

Of course you can always free-hand cut as well.
Enjoy and please visit my blog

It's finally here! Today is the day I introduce the new Designer Kits from Scrapbook Kits. But not only do I introduce a new kit each month, I introduce the designer who had the pleasure of creating with the kit. And every month it will be a new designer - some from Australia, and some from overseas (with a few BIG surprises along the way!!!). Are you ready for this? I sure am!!!

Without further ado, here is our August Designer Kit

Hetty was kind enough to share some photos of her scrap room.
All I can say is WOW!

She even has tables for friends and guests to join her. What a brilliant idea.

Look at that organisation. I wonder if Hetty would like to do my room, lol!

And now for the fun bit - I gave Hetty one of the August Designer Kits, and let her play.
Do you want to see what amazing projects she created?
These are seriously GORGEOUS!!!

Layout: Happy Birthday to You.
